Expert Insights & FAQs

Clear your doubts before heading to the peaks of Sikkim.

Is a permit required for trekking in Sikkim?
Yes, trekking in Sikkim requires specific permits. Indians need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for certain areas, while foreigners require a Restricted Area Permit (RAP/PAP). Sincula Treks & Travels handles all these documentations for our clients.
How difficult is the Goechala Trek?
Goechala is considered a moderate-to-difficult trek due to its high altitude (up to 15,100 ft). It requires good physical fitness and prior trekking experience is recommended. Our itineraries include proper acclimatization days to ensure safety.
What medical precautions do you take?
We carry complete first-aid kits and oxygen cylinders on all high-altitude treks. Our guides are trained to monitor SpO2 levels daily and can identify symptoms of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) early.
Can solo travelers join your Sikkim groups?
Yes! We have fixed departure dates where solo travelers can join like-minded adventurers. It’s a great way to meet people and share the cost of trekking in remote areas like Goechala or Green Lake.
